Commercial Lines Team
Keith Adams - Account Executive
Keith graduated from George Mason University Business School in1988 and has spent the majority of his career working for large National Insurance
Property Casualty Insurance Carriers, such as The St. Paul Companies, General Accident Insurance Company, and (C)ontinental (N)orth (A)merican
Insurance Company. Working with these companies, he has learned the ropes in Underwriting, Loss Control and Marketing. Keith also spent several years
in broadening his overall Financial Services Industry knowledge by working with several smaller companies that ranged from firms providing Human
Resources consulting and Employee benefits to Field Marketing Organizations that supported sales efforts of stockbrokers and financial services
agents involved in Life, Annuities and Estate Planning. Keith Joined Mclean Insurance Agency in October of 2007 after having been associated with the
agency over the last 15 years as either a company representative or vendor representative. "I always had a feeling that my destiny was tied to McLean
Insurance Agency, and that some day I would be a part of the organization. It has been gratifying to me personally to watch this agency grow over the
years into the successful, dynamic, and well respected company it is today."
Bill Bullington - Vice President
Bill began his career in insurance in 1966. He joined Koch Insurance in 1984 as Vice President of Sales & Marketing. When they sold Koch Insurance
to a National Broker in 1997, Bill joined McLean Insurance Agency as Vice President of Commercial Insurance. Bill was president of the Independent
Insurance Agents of Virginia in 2004. He specializes in Commercial Property and Professional Employer Organizations. He currently operates out of our
Florida office.
Bryan F. Casey, CIC - Senior Account Executive
Bryan graduated from Virginia Tech in 1988 and immediately began his career with Federated Insurance Company. He joined McLean Insurance Agency in
1997 as a Senior Account Executive. Bryan is former President of the Rotary Club of Dunn Loring. He is also a member of the IEC (Independent
Electrical Contractors) and the PPMV (Professional Plumbers & Mechanics of Virginia). Bryan specializes in Commercial Insurance for the Construction
Industry.
Marilyn Donohoe - Account Manager
Marilyn graduated from the Lincoln School of Commerce and has spent her entire career in the commercial insurance field. Spanning over twenty years,
Marilyn has worked as a commercial lines underwriter and a customer service representative. Having worked for insurance companies and agencies, her
experience in the industry is wide and varied. Marilyn joined McLean Insurance Agency in October 2006.
Bryan Murphy - Account Executive
Amanda B. Robinson - Account Manager
Amanda began working in the insurance industry in 2000. She graduated from Mount Olive College in 2002 with a degree in Business Administration. She
joined the McLean team in 2004 as a Commercial Lines Account Manager and is currently working towards her AAI (Accredited Adviser in Insurance) and
CISR (Certified Insurance Service Representative) designations.
Maureen P. Scholz, ACSR, CIC, CPIW, DAE - Senior Account Manager
Maureen comes from a family of Insurance Agents and joined McLean Insurance Agency in 1989 as a Personal Lines Account Manager, but she now
specializes in servicing Commercial Lines Accounts. Maureen has won many awards including; ACSR of the year in 1995, CSR of the year in 1998, PILOT
award winner 1998 & Insurance Woman of the Year in 1998 & 2004. She is a member of NAIW (National Association of Insurance Women), IPRA (Insurance
Professionals) & Society of CIC (Certified Insurance Consultants).
Personal Lines Team
PJ Baker - Personal Lines Manager
PJ Baker joined Mclean Insurance Agency in the summer of 2006. She comes to us with 19 years of personal lines insurance experience. Her background
includes eight years as a National Program Director with the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America, as well as, extensive work within
the independent agency system. Her specialty is underwriting large, affluent personal lines accounts.
Thomas Boswell - Senior Account Executive
Tom started in the insurance industry in 1980 for Aetna as a Personal Lines Claims Adjuster. After a brief training period with a Maryland based
Independent Agent, he left to join McLean Insurance in 1993. Tom's specialty is Personal Property & Casualty Insurance with a focus on advising
wealthier families and busy executives, with respect to their Home, Auto, Jewelry, Fine Arts and Umbrella Liability Insurance.
Benefits Team
Louis M. Petersen - Account Executive
Lou started in the insurance industry in 1978. He worked for several years with New York Life and then joined Koch Insurance in 1983. Once Koch
Insurance was sold in 1997, Lou began working out of his home until he joined McLean Insurance in 2000.
Joseph O'Malley - Family & Small Business Protection
Joe specializes in family and small business protection at McLean Insurance. His focus is in Life and Health Insurance coverage, with extensive
experience in Long Term Care. Home healthcare was his business before entering the insurance profession - providing hands-on care to clients in their
home, and eventually supervising other nurses performing these duties. He draws on those experiences to convey the importance of Long Term Care
planning.
Management Team
Douglas B. Megill - President & CEO
Doug started with McLean Insurance after attending Randolph Macon College and the University of Florida graduating with a BS in Behavioral Psychology
in 1984. He immediately began his career in the family insurance business. After a sudden illness took the life of his father, he was thrust into the
leadership role within the agency which at the time had three employees and less than $150,000 of revenue. The agency now has more than 15 employees
and over $13,000,000 of premium. Doug is an active member of the McLean Rotary, The McLean Chamber of Commerce, The Loudoun Chamber of Commerce,
Birthday Blessings and The INOVA Gift & Estate Planning Team. He also serves on the board of the Nothern Virginia Transportation Alliance and on
the advisory board of Virginia Commerce Bank.
Administration Team
Christine A. Cavins - Business Development Center Coordinator
Christine worked for Medmarc Insurance Group as the Policy Administration Representative while attending George Mason University. She graduated with
a degree in Marketing and joined McLean Insurance Agency in 2003. Christine focuses on marketing for the agency and assisting the Account Executives
with identifying prospects and generating new business leads.
Diana Knollman - Administrative Assistant
Diana recently joined McLean Insurance as our Administrative Assistant. She comes to us with many years experience in customer service.
