What types of Government Contracting Coverage is available through McLean Insurance

  • Defense Base Act (DBA) – All government contractors with overseas contracts are required by law to have this insurance. Failure to do so will result in fines, reduced legal defenses and even incarceration
  • Foreign Voluntary Workers’ Compensation Insurance – This insurance is the equivalent of Workers’ Compensation insurance in the US. This covers a wide variety of risks including but not limited to accidents and endemic diseases
  • Government Furnished Equipment – This insurance is required for all government issued equipment since other policies generally do not cover said equipment
  • Errors & Omissions (E&O) – This policy covers giving advice, providing IT services, and/or intellectual properties (areas that are traditionally left exposed by other policies). E&Os policies are highly recommended given the recent influx in poor advice and security breach related legal actions
  • Travel Accident Insurance – Health insurance generally has many exclusions for staff traveling overseas. This insurance can be very important during those circumstances. Example of use: a sick employee needs to be evacuated or family of a hospitalized employee needs to fly over, etc.
  • Directors and Officers Liability
  • Aviation
  • AD&D
  • Employee Benefits
  • Employment Practices Liability
  • General Liability
