The Washington Business Journal recognized McLean Insurance at the Corporate Philanthropy Awards to honor businesses in the Greater Washington area for their corporate philanthropy by volunteer hours.
The award ceremony took place November 19, 2015 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Washington DC.
Doug Megill, President of McLean Insurance formed Carz Cruizin to Cure Cancer in 2011 in honor of his father who passed away from a rare form of Leukemia. The event has evolved from a small local charity to a Non Profit 501c3 Charity with an advisory board and volunteers from all over the DC Region. Doug Megill and his employees contribute hundreds of hours each year lining up raffle donations, sponsors, putting participant bags together and volunteering their time on event day.
McLean Insurance was honored for their continued active and inspirational contributions to the community. The agency strives to make a difference in the community by encouraging and supporting our agents to volunteer during business hours.
